Activities have commenced within the scope of the “60+ Refresher University Cooperation Protocol” signed between Bartın University and the General Directorate of Services for Persons with Disabilities and Older Persons of the Ministry of Family and Social Services on August 27, 2026.

As part of the protocol, Lecturer Erhan Şeker from the First and Emergency Aid Program of the Department of Medical Services and Techniques at our Vocational School has been appointed as the Coordinator of the 60+ Refresher University. Lecturer Erhan Şeker will carry out the planning, coordination, and implementation processes of the program on behalf of Bartın University.

The educational activities of the program, which aims to support individuals aged 60 and over in participating in lifelong learning processes and to contribute to active aging, will also be supported by faculty members of our Vocational School, namely Assistant Professor Elçin S. Kasapoğlu, Lecturer Osman Şalcı, Lecturer Arzu Tazegün Özsezgin, Lecturer Muhammed Yasul, and Lecturer Necla Kundakcı, in line with their respective fields of expertise.

As the Vocational School of Health Services, we congratulate Lecturer Erhan Şeker on undertaking the coordination of the 60+ Refresher University and thank all our faculty members who contribute to the educational activities of the program. We hope that these initiatives, which bring the knowledge and experience of our faculty members together with the community, will make significant contributions to our University’s goals of community engagement and lifelong learning.
