A preparatory meeting was held at Bartın University Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) regarding the evaluation process of the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Services, Elderly Care, and Child Development programs by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Vocational Education (MEDEK).

The meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Özge Özgür, Director of SHMYO, was held on September 22, 2026. The preparations being carried out ahead of the MEDEK Evaluation Team visits were comprehensively discussed during the meeting.

The meeting addressed the programs’ level of preparedness and visit planning, as well as education and training processes, evidence and documentation activities, and issues requiring attention throughout the evaluation process. The current status of each program was assessed, with particular emphasis placed on the activities to be completed, areas of responsibility, and the roadmap to be followed throughout the process.

The importance of accreditation efforts in improving the quality of education and training processes, strengthening the culture of quality, and ensuring the sustainability of continuous improvement was emphasized during the meeting. Participants also exchanged views on the activities to be completed prior to the Evaluation Team visits.

Following the exchange of assessments and views, it was agreed that preparations for the MEDEK process would continue in a coordinated manner and that the identified activities would be completed. The meeting concluded thereafter.
