Department Heads Meeting Held Under the Chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Özge Özgür
A department heads meeting was held at the Vocational School of Health Services to evaluate educational activities, quality assurance processes, and academic planning. The meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Özge Özgür, was attended by the department heads.
During the meeting, academic, administrative, and quality-oriented activities carried out within the vocational school were comprehensively discussed. In particular, studies conducted in line with the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) processes were evaluated, and the procedures required for updating departmental quality documents and uploading related documents to department web pages were reviewed.
In addition, preparations regarding the graduation process, the planning of students’ academic processes, and graduation ceremonies were discussed through an exchange of ideas. Within the scope of strategic plan monitoring and evaluation activities, reporting procedures for the first six months of activities, preparation of evidence-based reports, and the responsibilities of related units were also included among the agenda items.
Preparations for the Academic Board meeting to be held on June 2 were evaluated during the meeting, while discussions were also held regarding planned meetings with graduates and students. The importance of student feedback was emphasized, and it was stated that efforts contributing to quality assurance processes should be further strengthened.
Furthermore, summer internship practices, issues to be considered during internship processes, and potential situations students may encounter in practice areas were discussed in detail. Scheduling studies related to the annual leave plans of academic staff were also among the topics addressed during the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the opinions and suggestions expressed by the department heads were evaluated, and the importance of continuing coordinated efforts that would contribute to the academic and institutional development of the vocational school was emphasized. Prof. Dr. Özge Özgür stated that they would continue working collaboratively to enhance the quality of education, strengthen institutional processes, and develop student-oriented practices.
