The closing festival of the “Strong Bonds, Healthy Tomorrows” Substance Abuse Prevention Project, coordinated by the Bartın Governorship and supported by Bartın University as one of its stakeholders, was held with broad participation.

As part of the festival, stakeholder institutions and organizations set up promotional booths, while students from various schools across Bartın visited the event area. Bartın University participated with its own stand, introducing the activities carried out throughout the project to visitors.

Educational and developmental toys prepared by students of the Child Development Program at Bartın University’s Health Services Vocational School attracted significant attention from children. Throughout the event, children had the opportunity to enjoy the toys while also engaging in meaningful learning experiences.

Prof. Dr. Özge Özgür, Director of the Health Services Vocational School and Head of the Addiction Prevention Office, and Lecturer Osman Şalcı attended the festival and closely interacted with the children. Students from the Child Development Program and the First and Emergency Aid Program also contributed to the event by organizing various games and activities, helping children spend an enjoyable and productive day.

Bartın University continues to contribute to addiction prevention efforts with the understanding that combating addiction involves not only preventing risks but also supporting the healthy development of children and young people through protective and preventive activities.
